Wireless Battery Clocks

Wireless clocks stay synchronized by receiving information from a system controller, otherwise known as the master clock. The master pulls its time from either an Ethernet connection, GPS satellite or cell phone tower. Then it broadcasts a wireless signal to these secondary clocks that receive it through an antennae.

American Time's SiteSync® system controller is designed to transmit a signal that's strong enough to cover an entire facility or campus.

Wi-Fi Battery Clocks

Wi-Fi clocks don't require a master to keep in sync, but instead rely on your existing 802.11n Wi-Fi network.

Wi-Fi battery clocks "wake up" twice a day, around 2:00 pm and 2:00 am, check in with the time server, then promptly "fall back to sleep" in order to save power. They stagger their wake times for unnoticeable network bandwidth impact.

Then the movement adjusts accordingly to the time received. If you have a Wi-Fi signal, you can have synchronized time.

Stand Alone Battery Clocks

aplite-about.jpg

No need for time synchronization? No problem! We have three kinds of stand-alone battery clocks: AllSet®, Radio Controlled and Quartz.

AllSet automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time. It uses a battery-operated quartz movement with an internal calendar to correct the time without the need for signals or antennas.

Radio Controlled, also known as Atomic clocks, automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time. These clocks pick up the signal from the NIST Atomic clock in Ft. Collins, CO and adapt to match it. However, these clocks do require good reception to operate. Ask us for a clock to test in your location by filling out a free 30-day field test form.

Quartz clocks are your standard wall clock. They're very economical and a good option if you only need a few clocks and don't mind taking the time to adjust them for Daylight Saving Time or drift.
